Gita Vaysburg is a grad from the industrial design program at San Jose State University. While in school she was a proud member of her student IDSA chapter and also served as the treasurer. Her current role allows Gita to utilize her skills in brand strategy, product marketing and management, business development, and marketing communications/PR. As a child Gita enjoyed drawing, painting, sculpting, and going to museums, thus making her decision to attend design school a simple one. She was born in Latvia and moved to the U.S. when she was six years old. She enjoys traveling, meeting new people and discovering new places. She values her family, friends, and of course design. Gita’s design philosophy is that design should help people live happier, healthier, and more meaningful lives. She feels that as a designer, she has the responsibility to shape the world around her in a positive way, which takes into account our earth, our people, and our tools for living.
