The process began with symmetrical shapes that had some resemblance to water. Further studies began to move toward an asymmetrical form that used golden proportions to establish stability in the form. Different orientations for the entry hole were tried out. The final wooden model was cut in half and vacuum-formed with two sheets of styrene. The outside two-dimensional shape was cut out as a secondary operation.
