As a first-year project, three-dimensional mockups played the vital role in learning aesthetically pleasing proportions as related to this form. Preliminary sketches were used minimally to begin the form exploration process. A final wooden model was spun on the lathe, cut in half, and then thermoformed with two sheets of styrene.
