Existing bottles are not able to be recycled because the paper label is attached to the plastic bottle with adhesive. Environmed solves this issue by having a paper label that slips into the plastic container and stays put without adhesive, making it possible to separate the pieces and recycle. Current bottles are only used once and then thrown out because of the fear of contamination by reuse. Environmed solves this issue by placing the pills into a separate container, and having a dispenser that does not get contaminated by the pills. Therefore, the dispenser can be reused, while the cheap blow-molded pill container can be recycled. Pharmacies, currently hand out info pamphlets which are stuffed into a bag along with the bottle. Environmed uses simple folding that turns the info pamphlet into a bag, thus eliminating “the bag.”
